This page tells you the terms on which you may use our website www.graduatejobslondon.com (referred to in these terms and conditions as the “website” or “site”), whether as registered as a user or guest. These terms apply to all users of the website. Users of the site are referred to in these terms as “you”.
Please read these terms carefully before using our site. By using the site, you accept the terms and agree to obey them each time that you use the site.
If you don’t accept these terms, please don’t use the site.

We provide a website that allows Candidates to post their CV, to search for and apply for job opportunities and vacancies posted on the site by Clients. Clients can post job opportunities and vacancies, and review and download Candidate CVs who apply for any job opportunities and vacancies.
The job posting, search facility and other features of this site are for use only by Candidates and by Clients seeking Candidates for job opportunities and vacancies
“Candidate” means a user of the site who is an individual who is using the website to look for, find out about and apply for job opportunities and vacancies.
“Client” means a user of the site who is a business, organisation or other employer that wants to post jobs and is seeking individuals for a job.
“Order” means the confirmation of the Client’s order for job postings or other services to be provided by us and completed on the site or via the Graduate Jobs London team.
Use of the site
You have permission for temporary use of the site, but we can withdraw or change our service at any time without telling you and without being legally responsible to you. Neither our services nor the website constitute an offer to you capable of acceptance by you. We reserve the right to refuse to offer the services to any person or organisation without giving reason.
We frequently update the site and make changes to it, but we don’t have to do this, and material on the site may be out-of-date. No material on the site is intended to contain advice, and you shouldn’t rely on it. We exclude all legal responsibility and costs for reliance placed on the site by anyone. We exclude cost for actions we take to deal with your breach of these terms and conditions.
You must treat all identification codes, passwords and other security information as confidential. If we think you have failed to keep confidentiality, we are allowed to disable any security information (including your passwords and codes).
If you allow anyone else to use our site, you must make sure that they read these terms first, and that they follow them.
If you use the website on behalf of any third party, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to bind such third party to these terms and conditions and to act on behalf of such third party with respect to any actions you take in connection with the website. You agree to respond promptly and completely to requests from us for additional information that we deem necessary to determine your authority to act on behalf of a third party, company or organisation. We may suspend or terminate your access to the website and your account or the User’s account if we have reason to believe that you are not authorised to act on behalf of the third party for whom you claim to be acting in connection with the website,
The information and services available on the site are provided for the sole purpose of Candidates and for Clients. You may use, print and download information from the site for these purposes only and for no other personal or commercial purpose. You should not share your access to any CVs on the site with any third party. You may not use any automated computer programme to search for and/or download information on Candidates.
You must not use the site to do any of the following:
- Break any laws or regulations
- Do anything fraudulent, or which has a fraudulent effect
- Harm or attempt to harm minors
- Do anything with material that does not meet our content standards
- Do anything with unsolicited advertising material (known as spam)
- Transmit any data or material that is harmful to other programs, software, or hardware (for example, viruses, Trojan horses, worms, etc.)
- Copy in any way or re-sell any part of our site (unless we allow it under our website terms)
- Interfere with or damage any part of our site, equipment, network, software or storage arrangements.
You must only use the site as allowed by law and these terms. If you don’t, we may suspend your usage, or stop it completely.
Uploading to our Site
If you upload material to our site or contact other users of the site, including Candidates, you must follow these terms, which sets out standards for use of the site and content. You agree to reimburse us for any costs or expenses we incur as a result of any breach of this term.
Material that you upload will be regarded as non-confidential and not owned. This means that we can copy it, distribute it, and show it to other people for any purpose. You agree that if anyone else claims to own the material, or says that it breaches their rights, we can give them your identity.
We reserve the right to remove any job postings or CVs that are in breach of the terms of this policy and in particular postings must not be defamatory, obscene or offensive or discriminate because of race, sex, religion or belief, nationality, ethnic origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status or civil partnership, or pregnancy and maternity.
We reserve the right to block or remove any user account that we feel breaks any of these terms and conditions.
Our content standards apply to all material that you contribute to our site, including, but not limited to, any job postings and listings, and to all interactive services. You must follow our content standards carefully, but please also follow the spirit of them. Any contributions to our site or forms that you complete on the site must be:
- Accurate and honest (if they are factual)
- Genuine (if they state opinions)
- Within the law.
- Encourage or assist anything that breaks the law
- Contain unnecessarily repeated words or phrases intended to distort the positioning of the contribution in any search results
- Contain links to your website or other direct contact information
- Promote ‘get rich quick’, pyramid selling or network-marketing opportunities
Your contributions must not be:
- Defamatory, obscene or offensive
- Likely to deceive, harass, annoy, threaten, or invade someone else’s privacy.
Your contributions must not:
- Promote material that is sexually explicit or advertise sexual services or seek employees for a job of a sexual nature
- Promote violence
- Discriminate or promote discrimination because of race, sex, religion or belief, nationality, ethnic origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status or civil partnership, or pregnancy and maternity
- Infringe anyone else’s intellectual property
- Be used to impersonate anyone, or misrepresent anyone’s identity
- Try to advertise or promote products or services
- Contain requirements or criteria that are not a legal or genuine requirement of the job
- Promote any opportunity that is not a genuine job opportunity
- Promote a particular religion, where that religion is not an occupational requirement of the posted job opportunity.
Our standards for interactive services, such as chat rooms and bulletin boards, are as follows:
- We will tell you clearly about the service
- We will tell you what form of moderation we use for the site
- We will try to assess risks on the site and will moderate if we think it is appropriate.
Please note, however, that we are not required to moderate our interactive service. We will not be responsible for any loss to anyone who does not use our site according to our standards (whether or not we have moderated the service).
Intellectual Property Rights
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the site (for example the copyright and any rights in the designs) and in any of the material posted on it. They are protected by copyright. Once you post your job vacancy or CV on the site, it is available for searching, viewing over the internet, printing and downloading.
You are allowed to print and download extracts of any page on the site for your personal reference for the purpose of seeking job opportunities and vacancies or Candidates, but not for commercial use. You must not alter anything, or use any illustrations, video, audio or photographs separately from the text that goes with them. Use of the site does not give you any rights in any materials on the site.
If you breach these terms, you lose your right to use our site, and must destroy or return any copies you have made.
By posting on this site, you give us (and confirm that you can give us) a non-exclusive worldwide licence to use, copy, display, reproduce, amend, alter or distribute any information that you post on the site. You agree that we may use a Client’s name, trademarks and logos on the website and for the purposes of providing the services on this site.
All rights including database rights, and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the information provided by Candidates and Clients belong to us. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in such information or its content and that your use of the site and its content is governed by these terms and conditions.
Our Legal Responsibility to You
We use reasonable skill and care in the provision of the website but we make no representation or warranty that the website and the uploading of documents and posts on the site will be uninterrupted or error free or fit for your purpose.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or truthfulness of material on our site, or that the site will meet your requirements.
CVs and profiles on the site are provided by Candidates, and job advertisements, vacancies and postings are provided by Clients. We review job advertisements, details or postings, but we do not review Candidate profiles or CVs, and we are not responsible for any employment decisions that you make. It is your responsibility as a Client to satisfy yourself as to the suitability of a Candidate for a job vacancy, and to verify the identity of a Candidate and a Candidate’s ability to fill the job posting. It is your responsibility as a Candidate to satisfy yourself as to the suitability of a job vacancy for you, and to verify the accuracy of the advertisement or posting, and the identity of the Client. We do not provide advice on Clients, job opportunities or vacancies, job postings or Candidates. We are not involved in, and do not control, the actual transaction between Clients and Candidates. We provide a venue for Candidates to search through job postings for job vacancies and opportunities, and for Clients to search for Candidates.
You are solely responsible for your posting on the site. We are not considered to be an employer in respect of your use of the site.
A Candidate’s response in relation to a job posting will be forwarded by us to Clients by e-mail. The Client is responsible for verifying the information contained in Candidate’s response. We accept no responsibility for the content of any such response.
As far as legally possible, we exclude legal responsibility for and are not be responsible to you for the following:
- Any loss to you arising from use of our site
- Loss of income, profit, business, data, contracts, goodwill or savings.
- any loss of contracts, loss of actual and anticipated income, loss of revenue and profit, loss of business and loss caused by business interruption, loss of goodwill and reputation, loss of anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of expenses, loss of data, increased costs and expenses, wasted expenditure and any indirect, special and consequential damages, arising as a result of your use of the site, whether or not such loss or damage is foreseeable, foreseen or known
- delays or disruptions in the website;
- viruses or other malicious software obtained by accessing the website or any site, service, application or tool linked to the website;
- glitches, bugs, errors, or inaccuracies of any kind in the website or in the information and graphics obtained from it;
- a suspension or other action taken with respect to your account;
- your need to modify practices, content, or behaviour or its loss of or inability to do business, as a result of changes to the terms.
We also exclude, as far as legally possible, all terms and warranties or promises implied by law or by statute.
We don’t exclude legal responsibility for death or personal injury owing to our negligence, or legal responsibility for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else where exclusion is not allowed by the law.
Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount of the payment made by you to us for the services on this site.
The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003
For the purposes of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003, this site does not introduce or supply work-seekers to hirers (or hirers to work-seekers). We do not take any steps that an employment business is required to take under these regulations and so do not:
- Obtain information about Candidates or work seekers to ensure that they are suitable for the vacancy or job posting
- Confirm a Candidate’s or work-seeker’s identity or that they have the experience, training, qualifications or authorisation to work in the position to be filled or that they wish to undertake the role to be filled
- Ensure that Candidates and Clients are aware of any legal or other obligations in relation to any vacancy or job posting
- take any steps to ensure that it would not be detrimental to the Candidate’s or work-seeker’s interests or the Client’s interest for the Candidate or work-seeker be appointed to the vacancy or job posting;
- Provide any indication to Clients whether Candidates or work-seekers are unsuitable (or not) for any vacancy or job posting;
- Put forward Candidates or work-seekers to Clients or provide any information about them.
- make any arrangements for accommodation of work-seekers
- Take up references about a Candidate or work-seeker
- Give any information to Candidates or work-seekers about vacancies and job postings.
We try to keep the website and services safe, secure, and functioning properly. However, you acknowledge and agree that we cannot guarantee the continuous operation of or access to the website and its services. You further acknowledge that the operation of and access to the website and the services may be interfered with as a result of technical issues or numerous factors outside of its control. While we will use our reasonable endeavours to maintain an uninterrupted service, we cannot guarantee this and we do not give any promises or warranties (whether express or implied) about the availability of its services.
Your Account – Candidates
Candidates that want to upload their CV to this site are required to create an account, which will contain personal details. The details that you provide to us or upload to the site must be true, accurate and complete. You agree to notify us of any changes that are relevant. You are responsible for all information that you provide to us.
You can use the site to post your CV, and to search and apply for job opportunities and vacancies advertised on the site.
If you submit an application for a job posting advertised on the site, you agree that you have read and understood the requirements of the job posting, and that any profile, CV or other information that you provide as part of that application is a true and accurate reflection of your employment education, experience, training and any other relevant information, and that your personal details are correct.
All applications are assessed by the Client, who also makes any decisions relating to the job posting. We cannot respond to any request for information on an application.
If you submit any information that is false or deliberately misleading, we may suspend your use of this site, or stop it completely.
You must not create a profile or upload a CV, or apply for any job on behalf of another person.
If you think that your account details have been obtained by someone who should not have them, you should contact us immediately.
Your Account – Clients
Clients that want to use the services on this site are required to create an account, which will contain company and personal details.
In order to place a job posting on the site, Clients must buy a particular number of job postings at the price set out in pricing list.
All job postings and CV views and downloads must be completed on the site by the expiry date of the date of the job posting.
Unlimited packages are subjected to our fair usage policy. For job postings, there is a maximum of 100 live jobs at any given time.
Payment for any services on the site will be carried out by third party payment providers and is subject to their terms and conditions. We do not hold payment information on our site. You will not be able to make any job postings until you have paid for them through the payment system.
If you think that your account details have been obtained by someone who should not have them, you should contact us immediately. If an unauthorised payment is made before you notify us, we accept no liability or responsibility.
Candidates and CVs
You agree that you will only use CVs and other Candidate information for the purpose of searching for Candidates for job opportunities and vacancies. You may not contact a Candidate or allow others to contact a Candidate other than for the purpose of finding suitable Candidates for specific job opportunities or vacancies.
You agree that you will keep confidential and not tell or provide to others any CVs or personal information of any Candidate that you receive from us through your use of this site. If you have to disclose confidential information by order of a court or other public body you may do so.
You will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, including that you take steps to prevent unauthorised access to or loss of personal data relating to any Candidate.
Third party claim
You agree to indemnify us on a continuing basis from and against all liabilities, costs, claims, losses, expenses (including our legal fees) or awards in connection with a claim by any third party (including another User) arising out of your use or misuse of the site, any materials or content that you upload, post or transmit to or through the site, your breach of these terms, your dealings with any third party or other User, or your breach of any laws, rules, regulations or code of conduct.
You shall give us such assistance or information as we request in relation to such claim. Such assistance and/or information shall be given promptly. We have the right to assume the care and conduct of contesting any such claim.
Your order is your offer to us, which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract on these terms and conditions. You must make sure that the order is correct. Neither submitting an electronic order form nor making a payment constitutes our acceptance of your order. A contract will be formed between us when we send you written confirmation of your order. These terms and conditions form part of the contract. The contract is the entire agreement between you and us. No previous statements or representations that we have made to you or set out in the website form part of the contract unless they are set out in these terms and conditions.
This website is not an offer to supply the services to you. You agree that by using the site, you do not rely on any statement, representation, assurance or warranty (whether made innocently or negligently) that is not set out in these terms and conditions or any document expressly referred to in them.
The fees for our services are payable when you make an order, and any other circumstances as set out on the site or in these terms and conditions. Details of our fees can be found on the site. All fees are payable before any job posting can be made or any CVs will be provided to you. If you do not pay the fee, you cannot make a job posting.
We make every effort to ensure that fees are correct at the time that payment is made. We reserve the right to change our fees, and alter and remove any special offers from time to time. All prices on our site do not include VAT.VAT will be added prior to payment of the fee.
We reserve the right to suspend or stop your use of this site and/or remove any postings that you have on this site if you do not pay fees on request.
We reserve the right to charge you our costs, including, but not limited to, our administrative costs, legal expenses and court fees if any payment that you make to us fails and any costs are incurred by us obtaining that payment. We will charge you interest at 4% per year above the Bank of England base rate from time to time from the due date until we receive all payment from you. This rate applies before or after any court judgment in our favour on the debt. The interest will be earned daily and you must pay the interest along with the overdue amount.
We cannot provide a refund for any reason once we have accepted your order.
If you do anything which is a criminal offence under a law called the Computer Misuse Act 1990, your right to use the site will end straightaway. We will report you to the relevant authorities and give them your identity.
Examples of computer misuse include introducing viruses, worms, Trojans and other technologically harmful or damaging material.
You mustn’t try to get access to our site or server or any connected database or make any ‘attack’ on the site. We won’t be legally responsible to you for any damage from viruses or other harmful material that you pick up via our site.
Links to Our Site
With our permission, you are allowed to make a legal link to our website’s homepage from your website if the content on your site meets the standards of our acceptable use policy. We can end this permission at any time.
You mustn’t suggest any endorsement by us or association with us unless we agree in writing.
Links from Our Site
Links from our site to other sites are only for information. We don’t accept responsibility for other sites or any loss you suffer from using them.
Breach of these terms
If we think you have breached these terms and conditions, we will take whatever steps we think are necessary.
These might include:
- Stopping your use of the site temporarily or permanently
- Removing material you have put on the site
- Sending you a warning
- Taking legal action
- Telling the right authorities.
If you commit a breach of these terms and we stop your use of the site, you must permanently delete any access passwords and pay us any payments that you owe us. You will not be entitled to any refund of any payments already made to us.
We change these terms from time to time and you must check them for changes because they are binding on you.
If we do not insist upon strict performance of any obligations under the terms, or we fail to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which we are entitled under the terms, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.
No waiver by us of any of the provisions in the terms shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to all parties involved in writing.
If any part of the terms is determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the terms or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual obligations or claims) will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Terms or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual obligations or claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
